NCTU 新e3救星 is a Chrome add-on developed by summon528. It is a modified version of the New e3 platform, tailored to the preferences of the user. The add-on introduces several key modifications to enhance the user experience.
Firstly, it extends the login validity period, allowing users to stay logged in even after closing and reopening the browser. This eliminates the need for frequent logins and provides convenience for users.
Secondly, the add-on modifies the login page layout, making the login form centered and reducing the number of hardcoded values. This improves the aesthetics and usability of the login page.
Additionally, the add-on removes the loading screen, ensuring a seamless rendering process without any temporary white screens.
The homepage of New e3 is also redesigned with this add-on. The user profile picture is replaced with the course list, displaying shorter course names based on the language. The "My Courses" section at the bottom is hidden by default but can be shown by clicking a button. The calendar no longer reloads the entire webpage when navigating to the previous or next month. Furthermore, completed "Recent Activities" on the homepage are faded to indicate completion.
The add-on also automatically detects URLs in announcements that are not hyperlinked and adds the appropriate links, ensuring a seamless browsing experience.
Lastly, the add-on modifies the redirection process to the member page, eliminating the blank white screen that was previously displayed.
